Solo Parent - Day 2

This single-parent thing is turning out to be a pretty good deal! Today we were treated to lunch and a lovely boat ride on Lake Minnetonka with Steve and Sarah. There was a little rain on our way there, but by the time we finished lunch all was well. We not only enjoyed the speedy boat, but we got a little swimming in, and watched Sarah water ski! Sarah called upon her old swim teacher instincts and got Abby to swim all by herself (with a little help from her life jacket!). I'm pretty sure this was Jake's first time in a lake (I know, awful for a MN kid). He liked doing "motorboat" with Steve.

Tonight Marcy and Becky brought Chipotle for Abby & Jake, and a nice green salad for us. Then a fruit torte for everyone! Right now, the super Aunts are reading books to very sleepy and happy kids. They are coming back Tuesday to take the kids to Perkins (Abby's favorite) while Mom sneaks off to yoga!

Tomorrow morning is our first test to get out the door. I'm going to bed now to prepare for it!
